About the job

Our growing team seeks a sales development representative (SDR) to support our founders and team members as we scale our sales and marketing efforts. In this role, you will identify and communicate with prospective buyers, qualify incoming leads, and assist team members in moving prospects through the sales funnel. Occasional travel to conferences may be required. This position is fully remote but ideal candidates will be located in the Washington, D.C. region to allow for frequent in-person networking opportunities.

We are looking for someone with a true passion for delivering results – all while having an excellent sense of humor.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research to identify potential customers for outreach.
  • Utilize various channels including email campaigns, LinkedIn, and face-to-face networking to generate and qualify leads.
  • Identify key decision-makers within target organizations and establish contact to introduce our products/services.
  • Engage prospects through effective communication and tailored messaging to create interest and build relationships.
  • Assess and qualify leads based on predefined criteria and the prospect's fit with our solutions.
  • Assist and collaborate with founders and our growing sales team to ensure seamless handover of leads for further engagement.
  • Schedule appointments and join demonstrations to present our products/services as well as coordinate action items to move the buyer through to the closed won stage.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with potential clients through ongoing communication and follow-up.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market changes to adjust outreach strategies accordingly.
  • Share valuable insights with the sales and marketing team members to enhance overall strategy.
  • Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly lead generation targets.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous sales (or applicable) experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with advocacy organizations of all kinds.
  • Goal-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment.

Salary and benefits:

The salary range for this position is $50,000-$55,000 with the opportunity to earn performance-based bonuses and commission. AdvocacyAI’s full-time employees are eligible to receive a benefits package including benefits and generous paid time off.
